“Once upon a time in a place overrun with monkeys, a man appeared and announced to the villagers that he would buy monkeys for $10 each. The villagers, seeing that there were many monkeys around, went out to the forest, and started catching them.

The man bought thousands at $10 and as supply started to diminish, they became harder to catch, so the villagers stopped their effort. The man then announced that he would now pay $20 for each one.

This renewed the efforts of the villagers and they started catching monkeys again. But soon the supply diminished even further and they were ever harder to catch, so people started going back to their farms and forgot about monkey catching.

The man increased his price to $25 each and the supply of monkeys became so sparse that it was an effort to even see a monkey, much less catch one.

The man now announced that he would buy monkeys for $50! However, since he had to go to the city on some business, his assistant would now buy on his behalf.

While the man was away the assistant told the villagers. ‘Look at all these monkeys in the big cage that the man has bought. I will sell them to you at $35 each and when the man returns from the city, you can sell them to him for $50 each.’

The villagers rounded up all their savings and bought all the monkeys. They never saw the man nor his assistant again and once again there were monkeys everywhere.

Now you know how the stock market works.”

Last night, I was thinking about the strange combination of this material body and the spiritual soul.

Body requires food, rest and all that is material in nature. They need to be covered. They need to be cleaned. The soul does not seem to need any of these. It seems to have an entirely different agenda, such as seeking knowledge, truth and all those that are not material in nature.

It seems that body has been invaded by an alien or that the soul is trapped in a cage from which it seeks freedom. There seems to be perpetual war. Neither seems to win or lose.  Neither seems to have control over the other. However, it seems that, they cannot exist without the other!

The world has endless examples of such struggles. The fact that men cannot live without women, the struggle between religious ideologies, etc.  I am not quoting Darwin here, but, there seems to be struggle within us and outside us…….. Everywhere. But why? Is this the law of nature? Is this how things are supposed to be? Is harmony just another word? I am a bit puzzled!

” މި ޗޮކްލެޓް ފޮށި ރީއްޗެއް ނޫންތަ؟” ރަތްކުލައިގެ ކަރުދާހަކުން ހިތެއްގެ ބައްޓަމަށް ހަދައިފައިވާ ފޮއްޓަކަށް އިޝާރާތް ކުރަމުން އަޅުގަނޑުގެ ރަޙްމަތްތެރިޔާ ބުންޏެވެ. އެތީގެ އަގު ބަލައިލައިފައި އަޅުގަނޑުގެ މޫނުމަތީގައި ކޮކާ ބުރައިގެން ދިޔައެވެ. ނަމަވެސް އަޅުގަނޑުގެ ރަޙްމަތްތެރިޔާއަކަށް އެ ފޮށީގެ އަގަކީ އެއްވެސް އެއްޗަކަށް ނުވިއެވެ. ވާނީވެސް އެހެން ތާއެވެ. އަހަރެއްގައި އަންނަ އެންމެ ދުވަހެއްގައި ތިމާގެ ލޯބިވާ ފަރާތަކަށް ހަދިޔާއެއް ދޭއިރު އެއިގެ އަގަކީ މުޙިއްމު ކަމެއް ނޫންތާއެވެ؟

ކޮންމެޔަކަސް އަޅުގަނޑުގެ ރަޙްމަތްތެރިޔާ ހޭބޯ ނާރައި އެ މަސައްކަތް ކުރަނީ ފެބުރުއަރީ ސާދަވަނަ ދުވަހު އޭނާގެ ލޯބިވާޔަށް ދޭނޭ ރީތި ހަދިޔާއެއް ހޯދުމަށެވެ. އަޅުގަނޑުވެސް ފޫހިވެފައި ހުރެގެން އޭނާގެ ފަހަތުން ހިނގަމުން ދިޔައީމެވެ. އެއިރު އަޅުގަނޑުގެ ހިތަށް އެތަކެއް ސުވާލުތަކެއް އަރާ ފައިބަމުންދިޔައެވެ. ފެބުރުއަރީ ސާދަވަނަ ދުވަހަށް ވެލަންޓައިންސް ޑޭ ކިޔުނީ ކީއްވެ ބާވައެވެ؟ ވަކީން ޚާއްޞަވެގެން މި ދުވަސް ލޯބިވެރީންގެ ދުވަހަކަށް ވެގެން ފާހުގަ ކުރަނީ ކީއްވެބާވައެވެ؟ އަޅުގަނޑުހިތުން ލޯބިވާ ބަޔަކަށް އަހަރުގެ ކޮންމެ ދުވަހަކާއި، ދުވަހުގެ ކޮންމެ މިނެޓަކާއި، މިނެޓްގެ ކޮންމެ ސިކުންތަކީވެސް ޚާއްޞަ ވަޤުތުތަކެކެވެ. އުފާވެރި ވަޤުތު ތަކެކެވެ.

ވެލެންޓައިންސް ޑޭ އަކީ ކިތަންމެ މަޝްހޫރު ދުވަހެއް ކަމުގައި ވިޔަސް، އެ ދުވަހުގެ ތާރީޚު ވަނީ އޮޅުން ބޮޅުން ގަނޑެއްގެ ތެރޭގައެވެ. ތާރީޚު ދިރާސާ ކުރައްވާ އެކިއެކި ޢިލްމުވެރީންގެ ރަޢުޔު މިކަމުގައި ވަރަށް ތަފާތެވެ. ޔަޤީން ކަމާއި އެކު އެނގޭ ކަމަކީ، މި ދުވަހަކީ އެންމެ ކުރީގެ މަޞީހީ ދީނުގެ އާދަކާދަ ތަކާއި ރޯމުގެ ބުދަށް އަޅުކަންކުރުމުގެ ޘަޤާފަތުގެ ތެރެއިން އުފެދިގެން އައި ކަމެއް ކަމެވެ.

ޢީސާގެފާނުން ދުނިޔެއަށް ވަޑައިގަތުމުގެ އެތަކެއް ސަތޭކަ އަހަރުގެ ކުރީއްސުރެ، ރޯމުގެ މީހުން ފެބުރުއަރީމަހުގެ މެދުތެރޭގައި ޢީދެއް ފާހުގަ ކުރެއެވެ. އެ ޢީދަށް ދެވިފައިވާ ނަމަކީ “ލުޕްރިކޭލިޔާ” އެވެ. އެދުވަސް ޚާއްޞަވެފައިވަނީ  ”ލޫޕަކް”ކަލާނގެޔާއި “ފޯނަސް” ކަލާނގެއަށެވެ. ބުނެވޭ ގޮތުގައި ލޫޕަކްއަކީ ހިޔަޅެއްގެ ސިފައިގައި އޮންނަ ބުދެކެވެ. އަދި އޯނަސްއަކީ ދަރިމައިވުމާއި ދަނޑުވެރިކަމުގެ ކަލާނގެއެވެ. ހުންނަނީ އެއްބުރި މީހެއްގެ ސިފައިގައި އަނެއް ބުރި ބަކަރިއެއްގެ ސިފައިގައެވެ.

އެ ޢީދުގެ ކަންތައްތައް ފެށެނީ ބަކަރިއެއް ޤުރުބާން ކުރުމުންނެވެ. އެއަށްފަހު އެއިގެ ހަމުން ޒުވާން އަންހެންކުދީންގެ ގައިގައި ތަޅައެވެ. އަނިޔާ ކުރުމަކަށް ނޫނެވެ. އެއިން ބަރަކާތް ޙާޞިލްކުރުމަށް ކުރާ ކަމެއްގެ ގޮތުންނެވެ. އަދި އެ ބަކަރީގެ ލޭ، އެމީހުންގެ ގައިގައި އުނގުޅައެވެ. މިބައިމީހުން ދެކޭ ގޮތުގައި މިފަދައިން ޢަމަލުކުރުމުން އަންނަ އަހަރު ދަނޑުތަކުގެ މުޑުވައް ރަނގަޅުވެ، އެއަހަރުގައި ވިހާ ކުދީންގެ ބަރަކާތް އިތުރުވެއެވެ.

ޢީސާގެފާނުންގެ ފަހުން، ފަސްވަނަ ޤަރުނަކީ މަޞީޙީ ދީން ޔޫރަޕްގައި އެންމެ ބާރަށް ފެތުރިގަތް ދުވަސްވަރެވެ. އެ ދުވަސްވަރު މަޞީޙީ ފައްޅީގެ މަސައްކަތަކަށް ވެފައިއޮތީ، ކުރީގެ ޖާހިލު ޢާދަތައް، މަޞީޙީ ދީނުގެ އޮނިގަނޑުގެ ތެރެއަށް ފެތޭގޮތަށް ބަދަލުކުރުމެވެ. މިގޮތުން އެވަޤުތު ފައްޅީގެ ބޮޑު ފާދިރީ، ޕޯޕް ޖެލޭސިޔަސް ނިންމެވީ ފެބްރުއަރީ މަހުގެ ސާދަވަނަ ދުވަހަކީ ސެއިންޓް ވެލެންޓައިންސްގެ ދުވަސް ކަމުގައި ފާހުގަ ކުރުމަށެވެ. ލުޕްރިކޭލިޔާގެ ޢީދުގެ ބަދަލުގައެވެ.

ވެލެންޓައިން، މި ނަމަކީ އެދުވަސްވަރުގައި ވަރަށް އާއްމު ނަމެކެވެ. އެހެންކަމުން މިދުވަސް ޚާއްޞަވެފައި މިވަނީ ކޮން ވެލަންޓައިންއަކަށް ކަމެއް ކަނޑައެޅިގެން ބުނެދޭކަށް ނޭނގެއެވެ.

އެއް ރިވާޔަތެއްގައި ވާގޮތުން، ޢީސާގެފާނުގެ ފަހުން ތިންވަނަ ޤަރުނުގައި، ރޯމަން އެމްޕެރަރ ކްލައުޑިޔަސް 2 ގެ ޒަމާނުގައި ވަރަށް މަޝްހޫރު ފާދިރީއެއް އުޅުއްވިއެވެ. އެ ފާދިރީގެ ނަމަކީ ސެއިންޓް ވެލަންޓައިންއެވެ. ކްލައުޑިޔަސްގެ ޒަމާނަކީ ހަނގުރާމަޔާއި ލޭ އޮހޮރުވުމުގެ ޒަމާނެކެވެ. އޭނާގެ ފައުޖު ތަކުގައި އެތަކެއް ހާސް ސިފައިންނެއް ވެއެވެ. ކްލައުޑިޔަސްއަށް ފާހުގަކުރެވުނު ގޮތުގައި، މި ސިފައިންނަށް، އެމީހުންގެ ޢާއިލާ ދޫކޮށް، ވަޒަނާއި ޤައުމާއި ދުރުގައި ހަނގުރާމަކުރުން އޮންނަނީ ވަރަށް ބޮޑު ތަކުލީފަކަށް ވެފައެވެ. އެމީހުން ތާ އަބަދު ތިބެނީ، އަނބި ދަރީންގެ ކައިރިޔަށް ދެވޭނޭ ދުވަހެއްގެ އިންތިޒާރުގައެވެ. މިހެން ވުމުގެ ސަބަބުން އެމީހުންގެ ޖޯޝާއި ފޯރި ކުޑަވެގެން ދާކަމުގައި ކްލައުޑިޔަސްއަށް ފާހުގަކުރެވުނެވެ.

މި މައްސަލައިގައި ވަރަށް ވިސްނުމަށްފަހު ކްލައުޑިޔަސް ނިންމީ، ފައުޖުގައި ދާ ސިފައިންނަށް ކައިވެނިކުރުން މަނާ ކުރެވިއްޖެނަމަ މިބައިމީހުންގެ ހިތްވަރު ގަދަވެދާނޭ ކަމުގައެވެ. އެހެނީ އެއިރުން ހަނގުރާމައިގެ މައިދާނުގައި ހުންނައިރު ތިމާގެ އަނބީންނާއި ދަރީންގެ މަތީން ވިސްނާކަށް ނުޖެހޭނެއެވެ. މިހެން ވިސްނުމުން، ކްލައުޑިޔަސް، އޭނާގެ ފައުޖުގެ އެންމެހައި ސިފައިންނަށް، ކައިވެނި ކުރުން މަނާ ކުރިއެވެ.

ނަމަވެސް ފާދިރީ ވެލަންޓައިން ގެންދެވީ، ބޭނުންވެގެން އަންނަ މީހުންގެ ކައިވެނި އަޤްދު ކޮށްދެއްވަމުންނެވެ. ފައުޖީންނާއި އެހެނިހެން މީހުންގެ ތަފާތެއް ނުކުރައްވައެވެ. ދުވަސްކޮޅެއްގެ ފަހުން އެމްޕެރަރ ކްލައުޑިޔަސްއަށް މިކަން އެނގި، ފާދިރީއަށް މަރުގެ ޙުކުމް އިއްވިއެވެ. އަދި ޙުކުމް ތަންފީޒު ކުރެވެންދެން ޖަލުގެ އަނދިރި ގޮޅިޔަކަށް އެއްލައިލެވުނެވެ.

ފާދިރީ މިހެން އޮންނަވާއިރު އޭނާ ކުރީގައި ކައިވެނިކޮށްދެއްވި މީހުން، އެކި ދުވަސްމަތީން ޖަލަށް ޒިޔާރަތް ކުރެއެވެ. މިމީހުން އަންނައިރު މަލުގެ ގުލްދަސްތާ ތަކާއި، ކުދިކުދި ނޯޓުކޮޅުތަކުގައި ޝުކުރުގެ ލަފްޒުތައް ލިޔެގެން ގެންދެއެވެ. ފާދިރީ ޖަލުގައި އޮންނެވިއިރު، ޖަލު ބަލަހައްޓާ މީހާގެ އަންހެން ދަރިފުޅުވެސް ވަރަށް ގިނައިން އެތަނަށް ގޮސް އުޅޭ ކަމުގައި ވެއެވެ. މިހެން އައިސް ގޮސް ވުމުގައި ފާދިރީއާއި މި ކުއްޖާގެ މެދުގައި ލޯތްބާއި ކުލުނު އުފެދިފައިވެއެވެ.

ބުނެވޭގޮތުގައި ފެބްރުއަރީ މަހުގެ ސާދަވަނަ ދުވަހެއްގައި އެއްކަލަ ފާދިރީ ދަންޖެއްސުމަށްޓަކައި ގެންދެވުނެވެ. އެއިގެ ހަމަ ކުޑަ ހިނދުކޮޅެއް ކުރީން، ޖަލު ބަލަހައްޓާ މީހާގެ ދަރިފުޅަށް ފާދިރީގެ ފަރާތުން ކުޑަ ކުޑަ ނޯޓެއް ފޮނުވުނެވެ. އެއިގައި ލިޔެފައިވަނީ ” ޓު މައި ވެލަންޓައިން” (މަގޭ ވެލަންޓައިންއަށް) މިފަދައިންނެވެ. އަދި އަދަށް ދާނދެންވެސް ވެލަންޓައިން ދުވަހުގައި ފޮނުވޭ ކާޑުތަކުގައި މިފަދައިން ލިޔެވިފައި ހުރެއެވެ.

މިޒަމާނުގައި ވެލަންޓައިންސް ޑޭ ފާހުގަކުރާއިރު، ހިތުގެ ސިފަޔަށް ހަދާފައިވާ ހަދިޔާތައް ފޮނުވައެވެ. އަދި އެ ދުވަހާއި ގުޅިގެން “ކިޔުޕިޑް”ގެ ހަނދާންވެސް އައުކުރެއެވެ. ކިޔުޕިޑް އަކީ ރޯމުގެ ލޯބީގެ ކަލާނގެއެވެ. ކިޔުޕިޑްގެ ބުދަކީ ފިޔަ ފަޅާފައިވާ މީހެއް ނުވަތަ ކުޑަ ކުއްޖެއްގެ ސިފައިގައި ހުންނަ ބުދެކެވެ. އަތުގައި ދުނި ދަނޑިޔަކާއި ތީރެއް އޮވެއެވެ.

މިޒަމާނުގައި ވެލަންޓައިންސް ޑޭ އަކީ، ކްރިސްމަސްއަށް ފަހުގައި، އެންމެ ގިނައިން ޚަރަދު ކުރެވޭ ބަންދު ދުވަހެވެ. އެމެރިކާގައި އެކަނިވެސް ސަތޭކަ އައްޑިހަ މިލިޔަން ރަތް ފިނިފެން މަލާއި، ތިރީސް ހަ މިލިޔަން ހަދިޔާއާއި، ޢަދަދު ނުކުރެވޭވަރުގެ ގިނަ ކާޑާއި އެތަކެއް ގިނަ ޖަވާހިރުގެ ގަހަނާ ވިކެއެވެ. މި ހުރިހައި އެއްޗެއްގެ އަގު، ސާދަ ބިލިޔަން ޑޮލަރަށް އަރައެވެ. އޭޝިޔާއާއި މެދުއިރުމައްޗާއި ހުޅަނގުގެ ގިނަ ޤައުމުތަކެއްގައި މި ދުވަސް ފޯރިޔާއިއެކު ފާހުގަކުރެއެވެ.

ކޮންމެޔަކަސް، އަޅުގަނޑުގެ މި ލިޔުމުގެ މަޤްޞަދަކީ ބަޔަކު ނިކަން ކުރާހިތުން ކުރާ ކަމެއް ހުއްޓުވުމެއް ނޫނެވެ. ނުވަތަ ފާޑު ކިޔުމެއްވެސް ނޫނެވެ. ނަމަވެސް ކަމުގެ ޙަޤީޤަތް އޮޅުންފިލީމައި، އަޅުގަނޑުގެ ރަޙްމަތްތެރީންނާއި އެ މަޢުލޫމާތު ޙިއްޞާކޮށްލުމެވެ. މަޢުލޫމާތުގެ ރަސް މަގެއް ހުޅުވިފައިއޮތް މިކަހަލަ ޒަމާނެއްގައި ކަންތައްތައް ނޭނގި ތިބޭކަށްވެސް ނުވާނެތާއެވެ؟

Someone gave me an example of this connection in a particularly interesting manner. I thought I would share it with the readers of this blog.

Man has dreamed of reaching the skies and flying, from the beginning of time. Some realize the dream by attaching bird feathers to their arms and plunging to death from cliff tops. Some realize it via kite flying.

Kite fliers use threads to control their kites. Some dip their threads into glue and crushed glass to make them stronger and sharper. Some use mere skill to stay away from these sharp threads whilst theirs is thin and fragile. Those who have neither skills nor sharp threads become prey to the others.

The concept of God has been around from the very beginning of time.Human soul craves for a Higher Power to guide him and to assist him.  The connection between God and His creation is thin and fragile. Some resort to violence and terror to make their point while others turn to skills and knowledge. Their aim is simple – to increase the number in their camp. Those who are weak and lack proper knowledge, keeps on moving from one camp to the other.

I was amazed to see how a simple example explained so much about the nature of belief. People do not discuss these issues but there clearly is room for research in the area.



Based on false “intelligence”, these wars were aimed at “liberating” the masses. Eliminating “terrorist” elements and most importantly to bring “democracy” to those who needed it the “most”.However, none of these aims seems to have been achieved.

During the height of the Da Vinci Code controversy, every major TV channel and news network ran exclusive reports on secret societies that controlled the world. The Knights Templar, Rosicrucian and Freemasonry to name a few.

In following up these reports, I am amazed to see the amount of literature and research that has been produced on these organizations and their secret agenda – a one world order and establishing another Atlantis.It is theorized that, events that are occurring currently are the handiwork of these organizations.

These may be conspiracy theories. They may never be substantiated with evidence. However, given the current events, the wars for no apparent reason, the meaningless violence and bloodshed, I have come to believe that these theories may be, to some extent, true. Even though they may not be true, reading about them has opened my eyes to world events and have helped me to cultivate a mindset that asks questions.

I believe, asking questions is the first step to gaining knowledge. I plan to share what I have come across in the last three years about these organizations, in a series of blog posts. I believe, reading about them could be beneficial in opening one’s mind, whether one believes in them or not.

A wide green valley. To the north are mountains so high that they are shrouded in clouds and capped by snow all year round. A soft cool breeze, which smells of wild flowers, emanates from the mountains. Evergreen trees grow in abundance at the foot of those mountains.

ގޮނޑުދޮށައް ނިކުމެވުމާއިއެކު މޫނުގައި ބީހިލި ވައިރޯޅީގެ ސަބަބުން ނިދީގެ ހުރިހައި އަސަރެއް ކެނޑިގެން ހިނގައްޖެއެވެ. ވައިރޯޅީގެ ހަމަޔައް ހޭޅީގައި ހުރި މަގޫގަސްތަކާއި، ދިއްގާ ގަސްތަކުގެ ފަތްތައް ނަށަމުން ދާ ދިޔުން ޤަލަމަކުން ބަޔާންކުރަން ކުޅަދާނައެއް ނޫނެވެ. ގޮނޑުދޮށައް ޖެހުމަށްފަހު އެނބުރިދާ ރާޅުތައްވެސް އެތަން ފެނި ނަށަމުން ފުމެމުން އެނބުރި ދާކަހަލައެވެ. ގޮނޑުދޮށުގައި ހުރި ބޮޑެތި ގައުތަކުގެ މަތީގައި ދުވާ ހުލިކަކުނިތައްވެސް މި ވަޤުތުގެ އުފާ ޙާޞިލް ކުރުމަށް މަޑުމަޑުން ތިބި ކަހަލައެވެ.

ހެނދުނުގެ ފިނިކަން ކަނޑުވަމުން އިރު އެއިގެ ޝާއްބަ މޫނު ދައްކައިލުމައް ތައްޔާރުވަމުން ދިޔައެވެ. ރަތާއި، ރީނދުލާއި މަޑު އަޅިކުލައެއް އެކުވެގެން އިރުމަތީ ފަރާތު އުދަރެހުގައި އަޖާޢިބެއްފަދަ ތަސްވީރެއް ކުރަހައިފިއެވެ. ކަނޑުގެ ސަޠަޙައިގެ މަތީގައި ރަންކުލައިގެ ސާލެއް ދަމާލާފައި ވެއެވެ. ދުރުން ފެންނަން އެއޮތް ރަށުގެ މަލަމަތީގައި ހުރި ގަސްތަކުގެ ފެހިކުލަ މަޑުމަޑުން ފާޅުވާން ފަށައިފިމެއެވެ. ވަދުއަޅާން ނިކުތް ދޯނިފަހަރުގެ ހުދު ރިޔާތައްވެސް މިގަޑީގައި ފެންނަނީ މަޑު ރަތް ކުލައެއްގައެވެ.

މިފަދަ ފަތިހަކުން ހިތައް އުފަލެއް ނުލިބުނު މީހަކަށް އުފަލެއް ލިބޭނޭ އެހެން ގޮތެއް ހަމަ ޔަޤީނުންވެސް ނުވާނެއެވެ. މިފަދަ ފަތިހެއްގެ މަޑުމަޑު ފިނިކަމުން ހިތައް ފިނިކަމެއް ނުލިބުނު މީހަކަށް ދެން އެހެން ގޮތަކުން ފިނިކަމެއް ލިބުމަކީ ނާދިރު ކަމެކެވެ. ހަމަ ޔަޤީނުންވެސް އަޅުގަނޑުގެ ހިތް އުފަލުން ފުރިއްޖެއެވެ. މިއަދާއި ހަމައަށް ހިތައް ލިބުނު ހުރިހައި ވޭނެއް ހަނދާނުން ފުހެވިގެން ހިނގައްޖެއެވެ.

People refer to God by different names, Allah, Ishvara, The Holy Spirit, Jehovah, The Supreme Being, The Creator…. Every tradition, every belief system and every time period, has had a God or a set of Gods. Some love them. Some fear them.

Preachers in Islam and other Abrahamic faiths, stress that we should fear God. Every speech about God includes references to His wrath, a fiery hell, everlasting punishment, etc. I have seen volumes of books on the various punishments in hell that will befall unbelievers. No preacher stresses the fact that God is benevolent and that he has prepared the best of resting places a man could ever imagine.

Every day, in prayer and their daily lives, Muslims repeat the words, “بسمﷲالرحمن الرحیم”. Majority of Muslims, being non-Arabic speaking, do not understand the meaning of this phrase. It means, “Allah is the most merciful and the most compassionate”. Recitation of every Surah begins with the phrase. The same preachers who preach about the unlimited wrath of God, instructs Muslims to begin every task with this particular phrase. There should be a logical explanation why this phrase is given so much emphasis in Islamic tradition that the preachers have forgotten.

Muslims do not create images of God and I believe that is logical. However, let’s say, as an experiment, we asked a representative sample of Muslims to describe or draw an image of God. I am sure it would be a combination of fire, angry expressions and all sorts of negativity. Only a few, maybe Arabic speaking Muslims, would describe Him as smiling or holding a flower. Why don’t you try describing your perception of Him?

The cognitive theory that was mentioned earlier could, I believe, be used to curb this effect. Emphasizing His benevolent nature, His mercy and the rewards He had prepared, along with warnings of punishment may create a balanced image of God in the minds of believers.

Currently, people turn to God in times of distress. “God’s Feet” is a place to cry when one feels sad. I believe people should turn to Him, even when they are happy. God should be a “friend” with whom we could share everything. This could only be achieved if we could remove the negative schemata that have been formed in association with God. Preachers in all faiths, needs to update their methodology. The truth is; God’s benevolence exceeds all benevolence of man and beast combined.

Even though there is light outside, it is blurred and unwelcoming, artificial. Even though there is a hum in the air, they are not soothing like that of waves.

May be I miss the waves. May be I miss the moonlit nights. May be I am beginning to see things as they actually are.

I remember when I used to sleep peacefully. Oh!! sweet sleep.
